The Carbon Trust - TTP Incubator is funded by The Carbon Trust and the services are provided by companies in TTP Group, or suitable third parties.

The Carbon Trust is an independent organisation, funded by the Government, to help the UK to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and to capture the commercial opportunities provided by low carbon technologies.

TTP Group draws upon the scientific, engineering and market research capabilities of TTP, and the commercial and financial skills of TTP Ventures, to provide assistance over a broad range of competencies required by incubatee companies:

  • TTP creates new business based on advances in technology. Since its formation in 1987, TTP has grown to become Europe’s leading independent technology development and licensing company. Evidence of our success exists in the development and market launch of many new products based on significant advances in technology and also in the creation of more than 1,000 new employment opportunities.
  • TTP Ventures is an active venture capital investor in early stage science and technology companies in the UK and Western Europe. It manages a £34M fund, with investors from the financial and corporate sectors, and is a member of the British Venture Capital Association and European Venture Capital Association. TTP Ventures has been recognised as one of a handful of UK ‘serial’ investors in clean technology businesses.

TTP Group also runs a science park with space for start up companies, Melbourn Science Park.
