Carbon Trust - TTP incubator is looking for new
incubatee companies
Do you know any early stage companies with exciting carbon-reducing technologies? Please send them our way! We are always looking for new potential incubatees, and will present
any promising prospects to The Carbon Trust at one of their monthly panel meetings.
The types of company we are looking for own their intellectual property (or have assured access to it), have a good business proposition with significant growth potential and a strong case for carbon reduction, have already proven their technical concept,
have committed founder(s) and are based in the UK.
Technology
- Innovative technology
- Compelling case for carbon reduction
- Proven at lab or prototype scale
- Patents granted or applied for
Commercial potential and scalability
- Unique proposition which solves a clear market need
- Initial evidence of interest from the market
- Sufficiently scalable to support a high rate of growth and a significant nation-wide or global carbon saving
- Reasonably close to market (within 2-3 years)
Management team
- Committed team
- Good balance of skills, or recognises the need to hire appropriately
Incubatee companies range from very early stage to post-investment, but listed companies are excluded. Typical incubatees have had some initial investment from angels or friends and family, but are actively seeking further funding in future.
The Carbon Trust incubator scheme focuses on technology areas which have strong potential to save carbon and where up to £70K worth of consulting is likely have a significant impact. Companies might save carbon through increased energy efficiency, reduced energy requirements or low carbon energy generation.
