Each family of printheads requires an appropriate Meteor Head Driver Card. These cards connect to Meteor Print Controller Cards via an Ethernet cable and require no other cables. However, there is a connector available for user-defined I/O functions if required. The Meteor Head Driver Card is designed in such a way as never to limit the full capabilities of the printhead. Where the Head Driver Card produces the high voltage pulse shape then this is done with digital control allowing the operator to optimize wave form and even use multi-pulse waveforms. Meteor Head Driver Cards are supplied by TTP and attach directly to the printhead or jetting assembly. No other head driver electronics is required, even when offered by the printhead supplier (e.g. no power supply, no head interface board, no pulse shaping electronics etc) |
